Hi Everybody! This is my first life update so I basically just want to let y’all know a little bit about what has been happening with me lately. This has been an absolutely crazy month with school ending, starting Ought to be Lovely, and my sister graduating high school. I also have another HUGE announcement about my summer plans and internship, but I’ll get to that later so you’ll just have to keep reading!
So on May 6th I finished my sophomore year at Auburn and, I’m not going to lie, it kind of freaked me out. There is no way I’m old enough to be a junior in college. It was an amazing year full of sleepovers, ice cream runs, and so much more! There will be a post all about it on the blog later so keep a lookout for it! Now I’m back at home and I have finally finished unpacking.
My sister is graduating from high school tonight (yayy!) so right now we’re focusing on getting her packed for college and ready for sorority recruitment. Between the two of us our upstairs is entirely full of plastic bins, lamps, headboards, picture frames, and more throw pillows than you can count. Luckily, after living in a dorm my freshman year and on my sorority hall my sophomore year, I am moving into an apartment for next year! I’m in the process of decorating my new room so stay tuned and let me know if you have any decorating tips or ideas!
It’s been about a month since I started working on my blog, but only about a week since I launched the website. I am happy to report that I am even more enthusiastic about my blogging adventure than I was when I began! I have a lot of post ideas for this summer that I am really excited about and I can’t wait to share them with all of you.
Finally, I am ready to share my big announcement… drumroll please… I will be studying abroad in Italy this summer! I’ll be staying in an apartment in Rome and traveling on the weekends so let me know if there are any places you think I should go. While I’m in Rome I’ll be working on a consulting project for the Hotel Luci di la Muntagna. It’s a five-star hotel on the Costa Smeralda Sea (wow!) and I’ll be working on their domestic and international marketing.
I’m so thankful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to share it with all of you! Make sure to subscribe to my blog and to follow my instagram and Facebook page to see even more of my summer adventures. Comment your summer plans down below! I would love to hear about them!
